Instead of looking solely at the case in front of them, it is now important for the people to take in considerati on what the victims were wearing at the time of their assault, their levels of intoxication, and their past sexual experiences, all of which should not matter when a rape took place and there is a clear victim and a clear criminal. One of the most common arguments on behalf of the defendant is how the accuser was dressed when the rape or sexual assault happened. If the victim was wearing a short skirt or a revealing shirt she was obviously asking to be raped, right? Wrong. There has never been a certain appearance that makes someone more susceptible of being raped. They could be slender or overweight, have blonde or brown hair, be of any race, old or young, and more importantly, there has never been a set trend in how the victim was dressed.
